blogging slacker

I have been come a terrible blogging slacker the last 6 months. I have ahd a ton of new fun things to share. I hope to get you all caught up to date soon.

We had a great Christmas. I was the lucky recipient of love gifts. A ball winder, a umbrella swift, a digital row counter, a lovely needle holder and 4 sets of bamboo dpn's. What a great haul for a knitter. I'm thrilled.

Plan for the weekend: Not much. :) That's the beauty of it.

Hope you had a happy Halloween

We had a great Halloween. Jacob and Amanda had a great time with trick-or-treating. They got a ton of candy. I even put some away and hid it for later. ;) Such an evil mom.

Jacob was Bat Man and Amanda was a lady bug. Too much fun!

I've been doing more knitting lately. I have been knitting tons of socks. I love keeping my feet nice and warm. Hope you are all doing well!

Hello... it's been so long... We really should get together more often

Yes, it has been so long. I actually feel like I have my life somewhat in order and can get back to blogging. It has been forever and I miss it.

Quick update. Things are going well. The new job is a dream. I love it. In fact I love almost every part of it! That's rare. Usually there is something that sucks. Not this one though.

The kids are doing well. Jacob is loving school. He absolutely loves his teacher and counts down the days until he can go to school. He is going two afternoons a week.
Amanda is the Queen. When the Queen isn't happy... no body is happy. She has just recently became obsessed with coloring. I loved coloring as a kid. I think she gets this from me. :) I'm really getting sick of picking up Crayons from all over the house though. I need to teach her to pick up the crayons instead of leaving them where ever she looses interest in them.
I have been a knitting machine. I am currently working on a baby blanket and a pair of socks. I am 3/4 the way done with the socks and about 1/2 done with the blanket. Pictures soon. I promise! My camera has been acting up. I'm hoping it's just the disk. I don't really want to spend money on a new camera right now.

Leap of Faith

You may have noticed my absence from my blog. It has been a crazy couple of weeks. I have made a giant leap of faith and have left Precision Press. I have been working there for 8 years. We live a 1/2 hour away and the cost of gas has made it extremely expensive to go to and from work. July 11th was my last day at PP.

On July 14th I started a new position at J&R Schugel Trucking. This has been a great move for me but it has been a difficult one. It was very hard to leave a place like Precision Press. I felt like I grew up there. When I started there I was single and living in an apt. I met John and we got married. We had 2 babies while I worked there.

I know I will make some new great friends at J&R but I am going to miss some at PP. Here are some of the pictures I took my last day. To see the whole photoset click here and go to flickr.

The weekend ahead

We are going camping again this weekend. We are going to a small campground just south of Hutchinson, MN. It is on Lake Marion. We are leaving Princess Amanda at home with Grandma. She has proclaimed herself a "City Girl" and doesn't not like camping.
We are taking Jacob with. The older two boys will be with their Mom this weekend. Jacob will get a ton of attention. We are going with another couple and their 4 year old, Chloe. Linneah and I have plans to do lots of knitting. We aren't going to inform the men of this plan. We'll just let them figure it out on their own. :)
